It's been two weeks since I dropped off the charger at its new home in Corona and now I was going to spend the day detailing it. It's been awhile since I've washed the car and using the tips from Zaino I washed it with Dawn dishwashing liquid, then used Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes mixed with ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive which allows me to apply multiple coats of the wax as soon as you wipe off the last coat. After applying one coat, allowing it to dry for 30 minutes, and then wiping it off I sprayed the car down with Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray. I was going to apply three coats but I had an appointment later in the day and just doing the one coat tired me out bigtime. Still came out looking pretty good I would say:

I finally found a home for the Charger in Corona, CA.  It's a storage facility called Premier Indoor Boat and RV Storage.  West Coast Customs has a lot of stuff in there and in fact my car is parked next to Shaq's superman car:

With the divorce final in June and that whole mess behind me I finally got the car out of the ex-wife's garage and took it back to Sammy Maloof's garage to get the few things needing fixing over with (check out page 13 and 14 to find out the last time I had the car at Sammy's). First, the car hasn't been started since last September so the fluids needed to be changed, including the fuel in the gas tank. The brake leak in the calipers was fixed and we found out the fluid was contaminated. The calipers needed to be rebuilt along with the rear drums. The linkage for the tranny was tightened up, and the speedometer was hooked up. After that I need to get the glovebox and the glovebox cover installed, the headrests installed as well as the seatbelts, console carpet installed and find a bumperjack as well as a spare tire. Once all that's done the car should be complete.

It's been a long journey, that's for sure. Six years this month since I first got the car and the light at the end of the tunnel is visable for the first time.

Over a year since I updated and I figured I owed everyone an explanation for the long wait. Haven't done a thing to the charger since my last update due to the wife and I getting a divorce. Been an ongoing battle since March of last year. May very well not be able to keep charger, which sucks big time, but have more pressing things going on in my life then the charger. Horrible time to have to sell but a great time for a buyer I guess
